A true gentleman who we will always remember with love x

Pat Brookes

Condolences from the members of ” Friends of Lees Lane Ponds”. Clive was one of the founder members when it started up seven or eight years ago. He was well liked and we all appreciated his sense of humour. It was really sad when he retired from the group and he was very much missed. Long standing members will remember his arrival at the work site each week was frequently heralded by the excited barks of the gorgeous Barney, Clive’s daughter’s dog. Barney knew how much Clive loved him and often took full advantage, turning a defiant deaf ear to Clive’s commands. With Clive’s sense of humour in mind, and because Barney was the dog who ‘wouldn’t, the tree we hope to plant in his memory, is a ‘Dogwood’.
