Charles Stephens is the Wirral’s largest and longest established funeral directors, dating back to 1896. A fourth-generation family owned business, we are wholly committed to providing you with the very best funeral care, whether you are looking for a religious or non-religious service, a burial, cremation or green funeral.
We have an extensive network of branches and Chapels of Rest across the peninsula and offer 24-hour support, seven days a week. We have an immaculate fleet of Jaguar funeral vehicles and a team of highly qualified and experienced Funeral Directors and Arrangers, ensuring you get the highest quality service for your loved one. Our staff will listen to your needs and create a personalised funeral that aptly suits your individual requirements; from arranging special funeral flowers and personalising service sheets, to making sure we pass and pause at a special place en-route to the service.
It is our family policy to price match any written quote or estimate. We do this so that you do not have to choose a funeral director based on funeral costs, but on personal choice, services and on the facilities that they are able to offer. This policy is subject to the provision of a written detailed estimate from a professional funeral director.
Code of Practice
The Code of Practice sets out the high standard of service that bereaved families may expect in their dealings with a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors, including key requirements in respect of the funeral director’s professional conduct. It also deals with advertising and marketing, price information, estimates, final accounts and publicity.
Funeral Director Members of the Association are bound by this robust Code of Practice – the terms of which incorporate eleven mandatory principles – and is strictly monitored by a team of Standards and Quality Managers to ensure compliance.
