You were a father figure to me growing up next to my father and I treasure every memory right up to grabbing that cup of tea with you last year. If I could turn back the clock and be that kid on the back of the bike again one more time it would be amazing. Rest easy Uncle P you fought like the bravest of men.

Uncle Peter!!!!
You were the best in every way and it just won’t be the same without you. You really were amazing .
I have so many lovely memories that I will hold onto and will cherish forever. I will always remember wanting to go in your garage every time I visited as a child and sitting on your motorbike, raiding the crisps and the biscuits! You were the cool, kind loveable and funny Uncle that always made me laugh and smile.
Be the best biggest and brightest star up there,
Love you always your little Dawny Rosie!! Xxx

Peter,
you were an inspiration to me. It was a great pleasure parading on at Smithdown Lane, working hard playing hard and laughing hard.
You were a consummate professional who stood along side of us in the good and the bad times.
You were a true friend that all of us would have done anything for.
Thank you for being ‘you’.
Rest In Peace.

Peter you were and always will be a special person. The way you led our section in traffic dealing with every situation in such a professional way. Everyone had so much respect for you. I can’t thank enough for everything. RIP never to be forgotten.

Someone who meant and means so much to all of us. As a family we couldn’t wait until the next time we saw Peter and Lesley – the warmth, kindness and, of course, the humour. Peter was someone who Alan admired so, so much. A true friend of the family and someone whose loss we’ll feel forever. Thinking of the whole Green family x
Kate, Matt, Emily, Lucy

Peter you are one of the most generous and thoughtful persons I have ever come across. As my Sgt in Traffic you led by example to an extremely high degree. It’s been an absolute privilege to have known you and worked with you RIP

Ive known Peter for over 50 years as a much valued work colleague and an extremely good friend. He never gave less than 100% to anything he ever did either inside or outside of work. I can only echo the comments made both on this site and the eulogy given by Dave Wilbraham at the funeral service. A great man and gentleman in every way. Taken far too soon but never forgotten. Phil and Shirley

God bless
