I am sorry to read of Mr Osborne’s passing.
I was a pupil of his at Thingwall Primary School from 1969-71.
Amongst many recollections of Mr Osborne’s outstanding teaching and care of us is that he first taught us French. I went on to study French at Oxford and then to teach the language for forty years.
Mr Osborne was part of my inspiration both for French and for teaching.
