My heartfelt thoughts are with all the family on the loss of your lovely Mum Della. Memories live in our hearts forever and I will always hold fond memories of your Mum. A lovely lady whose company I had the privilege to enjoy on many occasions. Xxx

What can I say about Della,a beautiful kind caring lady who loved a Natter
Mum ( Irene ) and Della were very close she loved and cared about our family as much as we cared and loved Della and her family
I think along with Della and the family who were evacuated from their home during the ww11 by my grandfather Arthur during horrific bombing on one of his locomotives from I think Leeds station during a stop over
All the girls slept head and toed all cramped up in a cosy but well proportioned room in a modest terrace house on Derwent street in Carlisle
They were not only family but the girls became loyal close friends too which stayed strong through all their lifetimes
That friendship I was privilege to have also been a part of and always looked forward to our get togethers
I remember fondly and with humour laughter n love our big family get togethers especially the one in the Crown and Cushion I think the pub was called in Appleby wow what a doo that was nearly breakfast time when it all ended. And everyone staggered back on the bus that had been laid on to ferry everyone back Carlisle
Me Jamie Johnny & Nicola had a fab time also.
Well I’m gonna miss our chats Della I’m sure god will want you very close to him as your a very special lady and I’m sure that will be the case
Love to you and I hope you and mam have met up for a good old fashioned chinwag about nothing but putting the world right lol

My deepest sympathy to the family of Della.
I came into Della’s life 10 years ago, and wow what a beautiful elegant lady, she had the kindest heart, full of love and joy. We sat and she told me all about her life, from New York to the pub in the Lakes. Della was very proud of her family, and I was so honoured to see the love she had for them all. She even helped me plan my wedding from the dress to the flowers. Thank you for letting me be part of your life, I absolutely enjoyed your company. Time to fly high with the Angels, will miss you.

My deepest condolences to all the family.
I met Della 10 years ago when I came to clean for her, and wow what a lady. Della had a beautiful soul, full of love and joy,
she became a big part of my life, having lost my own parents, we just clicked. We’d sit with our tea and put the world to rights for hours on end. Unfortunately not much cleaning ever got done. I had found a beautiful friend. Della’s life stories where fascinating, from New York to a pub in the Lakes.
She was very proud of her family, she would talk about them endlessly, from Jamie receiving a medal from the Queen to Johnny’s cooking skills and more so Nicola, who treated her mum like a Queen.
Della touched my heart in so many ways, very classy lady, very elegant and beautiful who always had time to do her makeup before she came down for breakfast. She even helped me plan my wedding from the dress to the flowers. I will miss our conversations, and I will miss you too. You will always have a place in my heart, so glad our paths crossed. Rest in peace my dear friend xxxx

We have shared many family celebrations and gatherings over the years with your Mum. She was a great character and always such good company. It was wonderful when she bossed her grown up children around. She was quite a woman with a great legacy. God bless. X

I have many lovely memories of Della, mainly from our years in Abersoch. Her shop was a key part of Abersoch life visited by young and old and we all had clothes chosen by her! She was good enough to give me a job and kind enough to keep me on even though I wasn’t very good! Della was such a strong, wise, elegant and stylish woman who always put her family first and I know that she will be missed.
Love to you all x

I have many lovely memories of Della, mainly from our years in Abersoch. She was always stylish and elegant and her shop was a key part of Abersoch life visited by young and old and we all had clothes chosen by her! She was good enough to give me a job and kind enough to keep me on even though I wasn’t very good! In later years, she helped me again by allowing me and my daughter to live under her roof until we found a home and for that I am eternally grateful.
Della was a strong and wise mother who found immense joy in her family. I remember how proud she looked when she was with you or talking about you.
Lots of love to you all x
