I love you E. When mum died in 2023 I made her a promise that I’d think of her everyday. I’m making that same promise to you. No ‘Goodbyes’ just, ‘Until the next time x’.

Deepest sympathy to you all, a true legend and friend RIP Eamonn 😢💔

Joanne Boyle

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Eamonn in O’Neills for a number of years until about 2014 and kept in touch with him wherever I could over the years. He was a wonderful manager with a great sense of humour and genuinely cared about people. The last time we spoke he was so proud of one of his girls who was in London.

I’m sorry I cannot attend his funeral as I’m 9 months pregnant but hope he has a wonderful send off, as he deserves.

Goodbye Eamonn.

Sassy

Still can’t believe our Eammo has gone, started working for him at Slaughter House about 1997, then moved with him to (Rosies) O’Neills. He was a kind, caring & genuine man. Got some amazing memories from our O’Neills trips to Dublin & Amsterdam. RIP Eammo. Lots of love & thoughts to Vicky, Israel, Erin & all his family xxx

What an absolute legend!
One of a kind…

I remember, fondly, waking up on March 18th to see what Wood St had delivered under Eamonn’s sterling leadership.
My sincere condolences.
He will be missed in the Liverpool community.
And, only spoke to him in October as our eldest started university there.

Sad times and too young to go!

Prayers with him.

Fiona

We still cannot comprehend that our wonderful friend Eamonn has gone. A gentle giant, so warm hearted and funny. The most amazing and loving husband to our dear friend Vicky and dad to their beautiful daughters Isabel and Erin. We will miss you terribly. Rest in peace. With all our love Helen, Robbie, Emily and Molly xxx

Jeanette, Steve, Laura and Issy

We first met Eamonn when Erin and Isabel and Laura (and then Issy) were babies. We became close friends over the years frequenting each others houses for play days and curry circle as neither of us had babysitters. These events often ran into the early hours and always ended with Eamonn going on You Tube and bringing up 80’s songs and the inevitable Sound of Music as Eamonn knew I loved Christopher Plummer. We also enjoyed days out and holidays together. We all remember Gulliver’s World where Eamonn and Steve had to dress up as elves, Steve maintains Eamonn only won as Steve got the trousers stuck on his boots. In Center Parcs, Eamonn was stuck with all girls as Steve forgot to book his holidays in work and even though Eamonn was in terrible pain with Gall stones, he still helped me put the bikes on the car. How we laughed when Eamonn’s teeth fell out in the plunge pool. We also enjoyed frequent caravan stays and trips to Aberdaron where we all squashed in together. Once the kids got older we started going out to restaurants for our curry circle. We had to stop going to one curry house (Ruhi) as Eamonn was a clear favourite of one of the waiters (enough said). Eamonn was infamous for getting food all over his new shirts (much to Vicky’s annoyance). On one occasion he even managed to knock wine over and redecorated the wall in the process. Needless to say he was a key figure in our lives, kind, caring and a good friend. We will miss him lots. Xxxx

Eamonn
I’m a friend of a very good friend of Eamonn’s, we came together not enough.
I am deeply saddened to hear of his sudden passing.
He had a laugh that brought further laughter from a place that I can’t explain.
He was an infectious, warm, easy, mild mannered BIG man.
Working in hospitality was a perfect fit for his character. Irreplaceable.
Linda and I drank and ate at the Philharmonic on a few occasions and remember Eamonn’s warm, easy welcome.
We can only imagine the hole left in many hearts at the passing of this great man.
Love to you all as we remember his great roaring laugh.

Sending our love and strength to Vicky, Isobel, Erin and all the Lavin Family as they say goodbye to Eamonn today.
I met Eamonn through Frank when we used to regularly descend on him in O’Neill’s for our wild weekend away. He showed us nothing, but kindness, patience , laugher and generosity even though we were causing chaos all over Liverpool. He adopted us in to the amazing Lavin family and I was honoured to stand beside him when he married the love of his life Vicky.
Rest in peace Eamonn.
