Deeply saddened to hear about Simon’s death. Simon gave me a second opportunity to train as a reader, and in doing so, I had the full college experience, through Emmanuel Theological College. On licensing day, last October, Simon took time out to walk and chat with me as I collected my reader’s scarf in preparation for the Bishop’s charge. It feels like personal family loss, a fellow brother in Christ. Rest in peace, Simon
