My thoughts are with the family at this sad time. Jim was a true gentleman, generous with his time and always happy to help. Kind regards, Lindsey, Vice-Chancellor’s office, University of Liverpool.

It was my privilege to have known Professor Jim Keaton; his loss will be felt by all who knew him. Jim was a kind and compassionate man who did so much to support Wirral Hospice St John’s and other good causes. My sincerest condolences to his wife, Angela, their children and grand children who I’m sure are all heartbroken.

Neville and Noelle Barron

Our sincere condolences on the passing of Professor Keaton. Our prayers are with Mrs Keaton, Maria and the family today. Regards The Barron Family South Africa

I have had the pleasure of Jim’s company on several occasions through our work together on the Everton Football Club Legacy project. I discovered an intelligent endearing man with a mischievous spark in his eyes who always left me smirking at his on line throw away comments hours after we’d met. You know when you have met one of the few genuinely passionate characters out there. My thoughts are with his family.

Dear Angela,
Please accept our sincere and deepest condolences to you and your family. Jim was a true gentleman which was clearly reflected in today’s lovely service. Jim was a very generous man and I learned a great deal from him over the years. I will treasure his friendship and miss his sartorial elegance.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Jim was a kind supporter and ally of mine and I am truly sad to hear of his passing. I enjoyed regular coffee’s and catch ups with him over the years where he would give me advice and guidance. He helped me to secure business at a crucial time for my start-up company and i owe a lot to the network Jim created around me. He can only be described as a true gentleman, I learnt so much from him. To have a friendly face in a room when you are starting out in business at 21 years of age was true blessing. To have someone to invite you to events and boards you wouldn’t be considered for ordinarily was a vote of confidence. To have someone who turned up to our company birthday parties with a bottle of red and a birthday card was simply caring and kind, and a sign he knew how lonely it is to start and run a business alone . I do the same for others now under his example , he is often in my thoughts. I hope you are at peace Jim.
