Desperately sorry to not be able to attend Chris’s funeral. We were both devastated to hear the horribly sudden news last week. What a bloody stupid waste!

It is always around this time of year that I start to look forward to the coming shooting season, and that was no small part to do with anticipating seeing Chris’s smiling face and welcoming banter.

The world is poorer and will be drabber without him in it.

A small consolation will be the legacy he will have left from his hard work and passion for the shoot that we all shared together which will endure.

I am very sorry not to be able to attend Chris’s funeral while I am in France. I was very sorry indeed to hear the awful news about this sudden loss of such a very nice man. I had not known him long but he was very kind and welcoming to me when I first met him as a guest at Cynwyd. I will always appreciate and remember this. I send my sincere condolences to his family at this difficult time.
