Lots of family like to celebrate a loved one or friend by making a donation to a charity or special cause in their memory. This can be a lovely way to commemorate their life and is often encouraged in lieu of funeral flowers. It is also something we can help you with.
To make a memoriam donation please write a cheque made payable to the chosen charity and note who the cheque is in memory of on the reverse.
If you wish to Gift Aid your donation, please click here to download a Gift Aid declaration form to send in with your donation.
Please post it to:
c/o Charles Stephens Funeral Directors
215 Bebington Road
Other ways of donating in a person’s memory include:
– JustGiving in memory: It only takes a few minutes to set up an In Memory donation page on JustGiving. This allows you to tell the story of the person you are remembering and upload photos and videos. People can then donate and also add their memories to the dedicated page. These details can also be included on the Order of Service.
– Find out more here https://www.justgiving.com
– Funeral collection: Donations will be collected at the funeral service and then forwarded to the chosen charity after a period of four weeks.
– You will receive a letter confirming the total amount received and, where possible, the names of people who have donated.
